Seven Attempts at Magic

A digital portfolio dissertation of seven interactive, electroacoustic compositions for data-driven instruments, presented to the School of Music and Dance and the Graduate School of the University of Oregon in June 2018.

Each piece pairs a physical interface with a real-time audio system. The controllers range from a Gametrak tether and Wii remotes to a Wacom tablet, iOS apps, and custom GEMS interfaces, with sound generated in Max/MSP, Kyma, and Ableton Live.
